Turkey is recognised as newly emerging campaign market for international education. Its new heightened orientation towards being an active member of globalization increases the numbers of students choosing abroad as their study destination. Also, the Turkish education system is unable to meet the demand, only twenty per cent of the university applicants are accepted onto courses of their choice. According to the statistics in 2005 from the Ministry of Education, over 56,000 Turkish students were enrolled in the previous year at foreign universities. Estimated number of students who are not registered in Turkey is approximatey 24,000. There are thousands of independent language schools and instituons in the world.
